This conference brings together hundreds of Aspiring Educator Members, Educational Support Professionals and Teachers for a weekend of learning and professional networking, as well as the opportunity to think, dialogue, and learn more about the professional issues you face daily.
The Friday night keynote is Brian J of GSAFE WIsconsin. Brian is the state’s leading expert on fostering safe schools and learning environments for LGBTQ+ youth. Saturday and Sunday are filled with 65 concurrent sessions led by respected members and UW instructors from multiple campuses. Breakout sessions are designed to help enrich your practice and find solutions to the most pressing educational issues, including trauma informed care, improving instruction, culturally responsive pedagogy, social-emotional learning, and support for early career educators.
With lodging, meals, and top-notch presentations, there is no better value in professional development than the annual WEAC Professional Issues Conference.
