Thousands of MTI members join our MMSD community in welcoming Dr. Joe Gothard back to Madison. Last year, when our members outlined priorities for the next Superintendent, we spoke with hope for a leader who exhibited an understanding of not only the needs of our schools, but also of our larger Dane county community.
With his deep-rooted connection to Madison and leadership in education, Dr. Gothard inspires confidence that he can appreciate our community’s unique aspects. His commitment to collaboration aligns with our union’s belief in collectively addressing the needs of students, families, and dedicated staff.
The talent and passion to overcome our systemic educational, social, and economic challenges already resides in Madison – we look forward to Dr. Gothard’s leadership and collaboration to promote a system that recognizes everyone’s voice and utilizes our community’s collective talents to create the schools our students deserve.
